Hello everyone! My name is Chiara, I am 30 years old and I live in Ticino, in the southern part of Switzerland.
From a very young age, I spent my time baking with my mom, my first real cooking teacher.
In 2015 I’ve attended Alma, an excellent culinary school in Italy, where I’ve learned basic pastry techniques. This school offered a second course of longer duration, aimed to enhance the art of confectionary in order to become a professional pastry chef. But it wasn’t for me, because this course required a strong personality, a lot of competitiveness and a huge capacity to control anxiety and stress.
Since then, I keep studying, baking and photographing at home, always supported by my family.

Home is also the place where I felt the need to create a pastry blog just to inspire my love for sweets, chocolate and nature in others. And hence, In love with cake was born.
All the recipes you can find here are the result of my self-taught, steady work, emotional breakdowns for failures but also time of joyousness, fun and creativity.
